External Material

The AS 550 takes a recreational build and design, meaning its comfort and durability have been enhanced. The polyester-weaved exterior ensures toughness in the gloves while keeping them both waterproof and lightweight.

Finger Design & Protection

The fingers use a two-piece design to enhance your child’s ability to both move and grip the stick. They use PE foam padding in all the fingers, giving the gloves great flexibility and cushioning upon impact.

Backhand Protection

The backhand is equipped with PE foams for premium protection and cushioning. The foams in this area are designed to soften the blow in all directions to help your child recover quickly and effectively after a fall on the ice.

Thumb Design

The thumb is protected with a tough plastic protection plate and has a one-piece design. The one-piece design makes it easier for smaller hands to move and grip the stick, and the underside of the plate is covered with PE foams to provide comfort and a good buffer.

Cuff Design

The AS 550 gloves have an open cuff, so your child can have good range of motion when handling the puck. As your child moves and changes direction, the open cuff allows them to move their hands and wrists easily. The cuff design also ensures the glove is secure around your child’s wrist with flexible PE foam in the padding.

Palm Material & Gussets

The palm uses classic Nash material, which is perfect for young hockey players. Nash is a synthetic leather and an affordable option used often in hockey glove palms due to its smoothness and comforting feel, as well as its durability.

Liner

The AS 550 is lined with PU cushion foam and a laminated liner. The liner materials work together to offer premium comfort and smoothness to your child’s hands, making the game more enjoyable for them.
